New Moon in Cancer, June 2009

Firstly, thanks to everyone who gave me feedback and encouragement about the solstice reading, I feel I am flexing new muscles so to speak, as I play with different ways of expressing the information that comes through with the essences. They are like doorways for me, and sometimes I don't know how to order the insights that come through. I'm guessing it will flow differently every time. When I read for a client, I can just talk and let it all come through, link essences together etc so I hope to get better at flowing the information in this way while writing...anyhow it's lots of fun for me and I hope you enjoy them too. Also this new moon reading is a little later than I planned, as it's so close to the solstice and I was quite full - but I have decided to forge ahead, as I am feeling curious about these 1st two new moon readings because they will both be in Cancer, yet no doubt have different energy patterns nevertheless. So without further ado....

Firstly the number 5 came up very strongly, which for me is about change, empowerment, and free choice

Cellular Healing Essence 8

I have to say I'm kind of surprised these are coming up so quickly as I am a little hesitant about trying to explain them!! But as in the solstice reading, these come up when there is powerful transformation happening for a client, and they will usually get what I'm on about...there can be challenges as the body is doing a great deal of healing to create the change at a physical level. It can be the culmination or completion time of a lot of self-help, emotional process or healing work around particular issues. The 8th essence has a lot to do with the overview of the soul's journey, that is, other lives and how lessons, gifts etc from any or all of the soul's incarnations interface with the soul's purpose and lessons in this life. This essence feels very expansive, and it's presence suggests some karmic contracts being completed, or coming into fulfillment. There is a potential to bring through gifts and knowledge we have had in other lives, so that could be extra fun to play with!

Starlight - "The Navigator"

So you're on a journey, and believe it or not, there's a knowing within you about how to get to your destination...this is both an innate ancient knowledge and the outcome of everything you have learned and gathered. I have a beautiful image of a starry night sky, and a quiet, gently focused person just reading the stars and making adjustments to their sails as the winds shift and change. You may also find yourself on 'journeys' with other people, where a unity of energy is required to get anywhere, much as a crew on a waka must paddle in unison for there to be bouyancy and balance. If you find yourself in a situation where unity is lacking, you may also find yourself with very clear insights and solutions and often with a need to speak up about it. For you may find that anything that detracts from the truth of your journey will feel especially uncomfortable for you at this time, and it is that very strong clear perceptive energy that will show you the way through.

Yellow Wildflower - "Play"

Well this just lightens everything up, it's so important to remember to play...to prioritise time for it if you have to! Especially with all the big feeling stuff that's happening, it can all feel a bit overwhelming even though its positive and exciting. Play can help to just discharge some energy. It's about entering a state of being where worries fall away, like when you were a child, where you aren't thinking about the things adults worry about, just enjoying life. It's especially good outside...

Te Waikoropupu - "The WellSpring"

This is the namesake of all the WellSpring Essences, created from the healing waters of the springs. It was this first water essence I made that led to a total expansion of my work with essences, opening doors I hadn't conceived to be possible. It's about connection to source energy within, and it's a reminder that this energy is abundant, limitless even in supply, and that there are no rules about how to connect with it! Source (Spirit, God, The Higher Self, the Angel You Are or whatever you like to think of it as) within you is your inner wellspring of abundance, energy,creativity, vitality, healing and clarity. There is no judgement from source about whether you are 'good enough' to receive so we would do well to release any self judgements that keep us out of the flow and just allow this beautiful, ever so clear energy to radiate through us. The 'power that creates worlds' surely wants you to create the most divine life you desire for yourself!

Selenite - "Higher Self"

This is a sparkly white crystal with an energy I find just delicious and quite 'pure' and uplifting. It's message is just to help us remember the expanded beings we actually are, even as we are very human and living in this world of 'duality' and contrasts. Again, there aren't any rules for "connecting with the Higher Self" this is a highly personal experience and the intent to be aware that you are more than you would seem to be is enough. Sometimes our human selves want things yesterday, and this essence is a reminder to trust in the timing of a greater design.

Well that feels very good, quite powerful messages, definitely a strong sense of connection to some deep wisdom within - nice to be reminded that there is wisdom in play too!! Blessings to all then for this moon, Arohanui.

Winter Solstice, 2009

This winter solstice found me way 'off the grid' so to speak, in Seddon, on the East Coast of the South Island, at a house perched on a cliff top overlooking the sea. Absolutely fabulous!! Expansive sky (incredible star gazing), a swim in the wild ocean, strong winds, powerful dreams, abundance of food, around the fire with friends old and new....just what winter is all about....and as part of all the sacred play I did the following essence reading with the intent of showing us an overview of the year ahead...

Kahikatea - "Standing Tall"

It is time to be willing to be seen for who you really are! It is time to be willing to share your unique inner gifts with the world. To feel the strength and balance that comes with being firmly grounded in your sense of self, fully present in your body, and clear and sure of your focus. There is a real sense of accomplishment and honour in the Kahikatea essence, as if we are being given loving encouragement and respect for who we are. This tree is one of my oldest friends here, a place of 'pilgrimage', as if it is a tall pillar in a temple where I regain my strength. It reminds us that we just need to start with being true to ourselves, and remember that everything flows well when we follow our own inner truth. It could be the beginning of your greatest adventure to just surrender to being you! There may be situations we find ourselves in that give us a sense of inner urging to speak up about what we see or believe, or perhaps even disagree with. There can be almost a burning within that will not rest until your truth is spoken, and a feeling that your self-respect will not let you be untrue to your ideals and values. Be proud of everything you have accomplished so far, and enjoy the stability that comes with complete self-acceptance.

Pounamu - "Healing"

Pounamu always brings our awareness back to the heart. The heart holds the innate knowledge that everything is perfect for our journey, and once those things we consider to be our wounds are seen for the lessons and life set-up's they actually are, the hurts can be truly forgiven and let go. This beautiful, deep greenstone born in the Southern Mountains deep within the Earth holds a very clear, strong and stable form and energy, and calls us to awaken to the truth of how healing takes place. We may go through some paradigm shifts around healing this year, and it will mean different things to different people. We are used to thinking of 'dis-ease' as being caused by things outside of ourselves, fighting against those things, and somehow emerging the winner of the battle and finding ourselves well. We are now seeing new realisations, not just through 'Spiritual' sources but through our newest science as well, coming out in movies like "What the Bleep do we know", "The Secret", "The Living Matrix" etc that are showing us that we create the life experiences we are having for very personal purpose. That which balances one person may not be the right 'medicine' for another. It is again the innate knowing of the heart (or body/unconscious mind) that knows the 'already healed reality' and the healing process it needs to return to it. If you are trying to heal anything, try to tune into the heart to feel what is needed, to allow more to emerge than what your 'head' already 'knows'. Remember all healing generates from within, that you already are everything you wish to be, and that sometimes even death, being a transformation back into a pure whole state of being, is the healing.

The Sun - "Full Spectrum"

Its always a blessing to have the sun in a reading, as it shines light on everything...lots of joyful enthusiastic inspired energy comes with it! In this context, its about 'en-light-enment' or 'lightening up'. The sun shines it's light for everyone unconditionally, regardless of who they are, what they do, what they believe or whether or not it can be seen by anyone. On this earth journey we are all on together, it's important to accept others for the journeys they are on, whatever they choose, whatever they believe - we are not all meant to be the same, and all of us are honoured equally by Spirit for taking on the role of human. It takes all sorts! There are many roads to the top of the mountain, and everyone will get there in their own way. This doesn't mean you have to agree with everything, ignore your own values or condone any innapropriate behaviours; just to honour the light of the soul in each person as much as you are able.

Cellular Healing Essence 11

The cell healing essences usually come up when someone is in the midst of very deep shift/expansion in their life, releasing deeply held belief patterns and ready for change. It's a time when the body is doing an immense amount of healing to accomodate the new energy or transformation. The process can be quite challenging at a physical level, often making us feel incredibly tired, achy, emotionally charged (especially old stuff we thought we were way over!), though often very elated and positive also. This essence is all about the Wise Divine Feminine energy - we have collectively a very strong awareness of a "Father" aspect of "God" and this is simply the balance to it. This energy is like that of a Mother, an unconditionally loving and nurturing energy. It is the energy of compassion for all beings, a sense of having a bond of love that nothing could ever break, a strong connection of family. Imagine the peace on Earth if everyone started out with that much love!! And if everyone had that sense of family connection with each other. So there is an opportunity present to feel that loved by Spirit, whatever your perception of Spirit is, and each person's experience of it will be unique to them. It is definitely time to really nurture self, and enjoy nurturing each other too. Part of this message is to look for signs of a growing energy of compassion globally over this next year, and more awareness of the Divine Feminine.

Winter Solstice, 2009 - Turning Point

This blog will be 'born' on the Southern Hemisphere Winter Solstice or shortest day, a time celebrated by many people as the New Year. Energy has drawn inward into the heart and downward into the roots, and found a stillpoint, from which to birth anew. For those familiar with the intelligence levels within Nature, this is a time of heightened importance for the Devas, who work with the blueprints for manifestation of all forms on Earth. If we choose to be present with the solstice energy consciously, we can participate in the excitement of calling in our new blueprint, our new potentials and pathways, and also in honouring the new energy present for the Earth and the pathways we are opening to as a collective. For this reason I will open this 'personal portal' at the turning point, with an essence reading to give insights into the overview of 2009 for us collectively: our exciting potentials and advice for balanced living.
